Challenge:

As part of a design evaluation for POD Marketing Inc., I was tasked with creating digital marketing assets for Opticlens, a fictional optometry practice focused on its eyewear gallery. The project aimed to feature and potentially increase sales of sunglasses while promoting brand awareness.
Approach:
My approach involved a digital content strategy that included Facebook and Instagram posts, location-based marketing through geofencing display ads, and email design for headers and footers. Design decisions were based on the client profile (West Vancouver optometry), the target audience (potentially affluent/educated 18-40 age group), the requirement for a clean, modern aesthetic, the 'All Eyes On You!...' campaign message, and the consistent use of a provided photo and Google Font.
Result:
The project deliverables included digital marketing materials for Opticlens, showcasing a cohesive visual identity and strategic promotion.  While not resulting in a job offer from POD Marketing Inc., the exercise was a valuable learning experience. It refined my skills in brand development, digital asset creation, and client-focused design, and reinforced the importance of attention to detail, adherence to guidelines, and efficient time management, also enhancing my ability to adapt to a brand's aesthetic and target audience quickly.
