Challenge:
In my "Interpersonal Communication Across Cultures" class at Royal Roads (R.R.U.), we were tasked with creating bus stop ads for our non-profit organization – "Women Empowered Through Education – Sierra Leone ."
This was a design exercise that was not intended for public use.
My Approach:
I decided that the image and the viewer needed to establish an emotional connection. I designed the posters to elicit a strong sense of anguish and bring awareness about the challenges the women of Sierra Leone immigrants face.
Result:
The bus stop ads feature a high-angle shot, positioning the viewer in a position of power. The product was a series of bus stop advertisements.
